President thanked everyone for attending.
Greg Cargill – emails are
being received in the JOP email inbox for lessons and are being forwarded
minutes of the meeting from January 22, 2109 were approved. M. Al Wills, S.
Al Wills – acknowledged the recent 2019 Regional Indoor
Championships that was coordinated by Sergey.
High participation and notable rankings by club members.
Helena – new butts have
been ordered/paid for through Whitetail – still waiting for their arrival.
Company has been advised that the courier delivering the butts to the range
needs to alert the club as to their arrival so someone can meet them at the
range. Accounts with BCAA have been reconciled.
Has been advised that gym rental with SCP has gone up effective April
2019 to $45/hour and will go up again in September. Has many group lessons booked for the spring,
and Friday classes are all full.
Greg Cargill – 25 – 30 kids
at JOP every Sunday. Parents are wanting
to shoot with their kids during JOP – on trial basis for now. JOP continuing in the summer months will be
discussed in the future due to availability of coaches and historical lack of

Solly – finalized the
April 7 JOP Indoor Championships with
BCAA – $20 entree fee, Dave Ball to Judge. BCAA(Sonia) to send out
promo; club will support.
Lisa – no report
Larry – report read by
Lisa in his absence – current membership at 133 members. Fees for memberships
and BC Indoors coming through paypal – can do a report for Helena when needed
after registration cut-off.
Kendra – site for BC
indoors up and running, merchandise section to go up soon. Eventbrite page set
up. Coordinated at Facebook campaign for BC Indoors which brought attention
from Alberta and Washington. Email ‘contact us’ section on regular website
Vesa – no report

keys for shed.
Al Anderson – lock at shed at
gym left open over night on a recent Saturday night. Who and why? Very

informed club of the passing of fellow long-time member Mike Hughes on February
Arising from the Minutes
Al Wills – 2019 BC Indoors
– 78 registrations so far. Shared photos of shirts to be sold. Pins
ordered. This section of site to go up
next week. Mary Wills is organizing volunteers. Bruce – trailer. Vesa – set up
nets in other direction in facility.
2019 Regional Indoors – 26 participants/750 participants nationally –
great turnout, and the time worked out perfect for having one shooting
line. 2021 Nationals – to propose to
Malahat for field and 3D course. Discussions surrounding pros/cons about
hosting. February 2021 start planning committee. Need to buy new foam animals
by Bruce Somers to submit application of interest to BCAA for Canadian Target
and Canadian 3D tournament. S. Greg Birtwistle. All in favour. Subsequent discussions have led us not to bid for the
3D, but only the Target.
Al Wills – 2022 Invictus
Games – Peter Lawless contacted our club to host. Club will support. All agreed
surrounding having a memorial bag course shoot and reception in honour of Mike
Hughes, having a picnic table with commemorative plaque as well as the club
donating $150 to Archery
Canada for the Book of Remembrance honouring Mike Hughes.
