NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
SEPTEMBER 29TH 2008 The Annual
General Meeting of the Victoria Bowmen Association will be held at the Victoria
Bowmen Clubhouse at 7:30PM September 29, 2008. Officers of the Association will
report on activities of the association over the past year and elections of a
new slate of officers will take place. Members of the
Board are asked to have their reports to the Secretary by September 15th.
Volunteers are
needed for positions on the 2008/09 Board of Directors, in particular we need a
new Membership Director and Secretary. Job descriptions for all positions can be

and would like more information, please contact the secretary, Al Wills at
474-4909 or info@victoriabowmen.com. Membership
fees for 2009 and beyond and other matters will be discussed.
News
Pizza Night –
Our last pizza nite was enjoyed by
those that attended, the weather cooperated.
JOP 3D –
The JOP members who attended
thoroughly enjoyed their 3D tournament, we will look into more of them in the
future.
VB Members at the Canadian
Championships –
Congraturlations to Bernie Van Gylswyk who placed 5th at the Canadian
3D Championships in Dauphin Manitoba
2008 Annual General Meeting –
Mark your calendars, our
AGM will be held September 29th at 7:30 PM, this is your opportunity
to see how the club works and hear reports from the Board of Directors. A new
slate of officers will be elected. Membership dues and other Victoria Bowmen
matters will be discussed .
New Secretary Needed
– Our present secretary, Al Wills, would like to move onto other Victoria Bowmen
duties, so we are looking for a replacement. If you are interested, please
contact Al for information (250) 474-4909.
Nominating Committee/2009 Board of
Directors – Are you
interested in assisting in the running of the club, you are needed, no
experience necessary, only a love of archery and a desire to help. There are
many positions, contact Bruce Somers (474-9951) or Al Wills (474-4909) for more

Indoor Shooting
– Our contracts for indoor shooting have been completed
Indoor shooting will begin on Saturday October 11th (10AM –
1PM) and most Saturdays and Tuesday
evenings (8 PM – 10 PM) after that, keep an eye on the website shooting times
page (http://victoriabowmen.com/clubinfo/shootingtimes.htm) for dates where
there may not be shooting. Check the
web-site at http://www.victoriabowmen.com for upcoming shoots and other club
happenings. The entire listing of club contacts is there should you have any
questions on any club concerns. Minutes from past meetings and past newsletters
