Renewal Time!

Membership has it's privileges

If you have not renewed your membership as yet, your membership has lapsed and you are shooting without insurance and are there fore not allowed on the Outdoor range in accordance with our agreement with the Military to use that property. Remember by not being insured you are liable without legal protection for anything that may happen while you are shooting. [Plus, you wonít get this cool newsletter! -ed] Those with current membership are covered up to two million dollars.

Fred Usher Hall Of Fame Display

The Centre for Sports Development (Located at the Commonwealth Pool) regularly has displays featuring various prominent athletes from the Victoria area.

This monthís display features Fred Usher. The display will run until the end of May. Please drop by and take a look.

Clubhouse Remodelling

As most of you are aware, our clubhouse is getting well worn. We are looking for handy people who would like to help out by remodelling all, or part of, the clubhouse. The thoughts right now are

- New Linoleum

- New counters and/or cabinetry

- New carpet on part of the floor

If you are interested in helping out, or if you know where we can get some of the materials for a good price, please let Al know. Thank you.

Focus On 3D

3D shooting has become immensely popular in US Archery circles, and Canada is starting to follow suit.

Basically, the competition involves shooting targets (which are foam animals) from unknown distances on a field course. There are various classes, from traditional longbows through unlimited compounds.
 
 

For those of you who are interested in 3D shooting, but have never competed in a 3D competition before, we encourage you to attend.
