The range is ready for your outdoor use ~ Bring your gum boots and be careful where you park, keep your dog on a leash and spend a bit of time picking up, all that would be most appreciated. Remember to show you card to the Commissionaires, any issues with the commissionaires should be brought up with a member of the club's Board of Directors, not with them. They are just doing their job we are guests on the property.

YES WE STILL HAVE A PLACE TO SHOOT AND A CLUB TO JOIN!
I'm sure you are all aware that this is our last year at the greatest archery facility in the world! We are not shutting down just moving elsewhere. Where that will be is not known right now, but we will have facilities for all of 2009. We are confident that we will have an outdoor place to shoot this time next year. In the meantime, your Board of Directors asks that you keep involved and help out in the moving of the equipment later this year.

Butt Renewal Work Party
We need your assistance to ensure the butts are ready for shooting this season, please come out on Wednesday April 22nd at 6:00PM and assist in rebuilding and relocating the butts, the more people we get out to help, the faster it will be finished.

Junior News:
Last Sat April 4th was the start of the JOP outdoor shooting at the Victoria Bowmen range. We are to meet at 10:00 am and go till 12 noon. Remember the fields are still very wet and all archers should have proper waterproof foot wear. Gum boots work well! The range dosn’t have drinkable water so it is a good idea to bring water in a thermos or bottle. Please do not park on the grass or the road, use the upper parking lot. I will be away for the next 2 Sat’s but Brad Clements, or George Trattner will be here to help. Thanks -- Mary Wills

2009 Memberships
The new list of members has been passed to the commissionaires, without a current 2009 Membership card (Red) you are NOT insured and therefore, not allowed on the property in accordance with our agreement with DND. If you have not yet joined, now is the time to do so, call Al Wills (250) 474-4909 or complete the membership process on the website (http://victoriabowmen.com). If you should have problems with access to the range, please also call Al.
