Business Arising from the Minutes

-        New enclosure, now locked same combination as the gate. Food for thought: Combinations will be changed each year, so that members can access the range and the fenced area, however the container keys will be restricted to the Board members. The 2 permanent butts will remain outside, will be discussed at future meetings.

New Business:

Commonwealth Place:

·       Winter/Spring Indoor Shooting times Jan 5 ’to 29 Mar ’12 (Thurs)

o   Fall Oct 4 (Thurs) to 20 Dec 12 (Thurs)

·       Net set up – George will check it out. We need more space, but not necessarily more butts.

·       Targets – We are using a lot of targets, recommended that newer archers shoot on 80cm targets and share, 40 cm targets not required or recommended for beginners.

·       Range Fence – concerned that the north west corner of the fence is not secure to keep people out, Tower fence is looking into it.

·       Advanced Course – lots of interests – George will coordinate will find a place and timings course would include fletching, strings, tuning etc.

·       Instructor Training – Al will look into dates costs approx $100/per student. The club normally assists in this cost.

·       Junior Lessons – George will coordinate lessons with Helena to better prepare juniors for joining the club.

  1. Disbursements: As Helena was not there, Al advised anyone needing claims settled to contact Helena directly.
