J.O.P. REPORT OCTOBER 25th 2005:
We have not been able to use the gym because of the Teachers Strike. Now that it
is over we can get back indoors. I have phoned and divided the kids into three
groups. They can only come in of the one groups. Group one, Saturday 9:00am to
11:00am is full with 24 kids. I can not take anymore in this group. Group two,
Saturday 11:00am to 1:00 and group three, Thursday 7:00pm to 9:00pm have room.
I’ve been asking the club for an honorarium for doing JOP. I do not want to go on Social Assistance.
Commonwealth Place
November 7th is the last class. The next class starts November 14th.
I’m concerned about some of the butts at Commonwealth. We have had arrows
rebound back at the kids. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hit
with a rebounding arrow. One butt has a hole in the middle and once the kids
find it they try to shoot though it. This takes the fletches off. The Basketball
has a cover, butt it is short by 4 inches. I’ve told them that an arrow could
lilt and break the glass.
