  3. Minutes of the June 20, 2001, meeting were circulated.

Moved by Bruce Reed, seconded by Keith Pickering, "that the minutes be adopted as circulated." Carried
  4. Business Arising From the Minutes:
    1. Helena Myllyniemi advised that the last email received from Kazakhstan Archery advised that only one archer would be provided with a visa to travel. The rest were considered a risk for immigration, so no visas were issued.
    2. There are still "work in progress" items from the last work party.
  1. Correspondence:
    1. A letter was received from Susan Lemke, (appointed by BCAA as coach/team leader for the 2003 Canada Winter Games), requesting info on archers who will be eligible to qualify for the 2003 CWG.
    2. Request received from the Society of Creative Anachronism for the use of the range on Monday nights. They are looking for a reduced rate. Some of their group are members of the Victoria Bowmen.

Discussion occurred. Executive does not have a problem with the group using the range, however we need more information prior to making a decision. We would prefer to encourage membership in the Club.
    3. An email was received from Greg and Lynne Durward requesting financial assistance to attend the World’s in Beijing.

      Discussion occurred.

Moved by Tracy Klat, seconded by Dan Petitpas, "That the Victoria Bowmen Association provide funding of $500.00 each to Greg and Lynne Durward."

Canada Cup 2001: This year’s shoot made $612.90. (Revenue & Expense report was provided to the executive). There were 26 archers that shot, 2 dropped out due to illness and will be refunded their registration fees, and 1 no-show that did not pay. The ZAS team did not show up. I received lots of positive comments from everybody who shot, and they liked the option of shooting a double or a split FITA. Thank you to all who helped out. You made the tournament great!
